Commemoration Service

We were honoured to receive members of the Royal Air Force from RAF Waddington, members of the 9 Squadron Association and particularly families and friends, including a number from Malta, at our 10am service to commemorate the lives of those involved in the events of 14th October 1975 in Malta when Avro Vulcan B2 XM645 crashed at Zabbar, Malta. The plane was based at RAF Waddington and four of the crew members are buried in Nettleham cemetery (go to heritage in the churchyard page). 

The service was presided by Reverend Michelle Webb, Reverend Nigel Peyton and the sermon delivered by Reverend Flight Lieutenant Mike Loach (Padre of RAF Waddington).
