Welcome to All Saints

All Saints, Nettleham is the Parish Church for the large Lincolnshire village of Nettleham. Its beautiful worship, warm welcome, excellent teaching, strong sacramental tradition, prayerful congregation and radical approach to inclusivity, justice and concern for God's creation draw many people from further afield.

The unprecedented danger, fear and avoiding action we are enduring in the current Coronavirus pandemic are affecting all churches, and All Saints is no different. As our nation, indeed our world, is brought practically to a halt as we try to slow the spread of the disease, so our normal life as a church - a place of worship, a place of encounter, a place of praying together, a place of caring, sharing and socialising, focussed on our historic church and our new Parish Centre - has been brought abruptly to a standstill. The government has ordered closure of all churches from 24th March for at least three weeks.

However, the love of God doesn't stop when we are suffering, it grows. So must our life as a church, our creativity in maintaining fellowship, our fervent life of prayer and our service of our fellows. Many people are suffering in our community - loneliness, fear, loss of income, confinement, the challenge of children and their energy and needs, existing illness. It could get worse, and it could last a long time. Far from a holiday for the christian church in this place, it is a call to action.

We are working on many ways of staying together, praying together and caring for each other and they will be available shortly through this website.

This website is already a rich resource for those wishing to find out more about All Saints, and for those who want to access materials to use in their own journey of faith, their daily worship, their deepening knowledge of God and of Jesus Christ. It is suddenly becoming much more important - a lifeline even.

All Saints is an Anglican church, in the Deanery of Lawres and the Diocese of Lincoln. Everyone who lives in the parish or chooses to come here to worship has the right to be baptised into the faith, married, blessed, forgiven, buried, or looked after by our pastoral team. Some of that will have to wait until this dreadful pandemic has abated. Some of it is becoming even more urgent.

May God bless you all. Bring to us your needs and we will try to meet them. "Come to me, all you who travail and are heavy laden, and I will refresh you".

God is here. Make yourselves at home!
