21st December prayers

Mighty God, we thank You that You sent Your Son as saviour for the whole world. We honour You, Lord Jesus, that You know what it's like to be a homeless migrant. We praise You that You are there for the marginalised in society or those who are looked down on. Help us to accept the marginalised in our society and not to turn the homeless or migrants away. Soften the hearts of politicians and leaders who espouse nationalistic tendencies or reject the poor. Empower us to share the Good News that You came for everyone and lead us and others to reconcilliation first with You and then with others. In the name of our Prince of Peace and Wonderful Counsellor we pray. Amen.
