20th December prayers

You, O Lord, is who we wait for. Only You can provide the esential things - love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. During this Advent help us to wait patiently and expectantly for You. Let Your star lead us in Your ways. As we wait teach us more about You and let us shine Your light to others. Let us keep Jesus front and centre of our plans so that they align with Your will. Enable us to manage our expectations and be there to pick us up when we have disappointments. Through Jesus Christ we pray. Amen
